| Smiling F.A.C.E.S. of Volunteers at our Annual Holiday Party |
IN THE WORDS OF A FACES VOLUNTEER:
".....I first found F.A.C.E.S. while searching out an opportunity to work with kids, and basically do something that mattered. Not only did I find the sense of fulfillment I was looking for, I also learned lots about human/social services, counseling procedures and protocol, and administrative policies. Most importantly, though, I got to manage several families who came to the agency for monitored visitation.
I learned to deal with problems (and help parents problem solve) using effective strategies, all while keeping children safe. F.A.C.E.S. definitely offers insight to anyone seeking to learn more about the counseling or social services fields, and invaluable hands-on experience for anyone looking to enrich their educational experience. That's it for now. Wish me luck on applying to grad school !"
All the best, Brandi Coleman
