| F.A.C.E.S. Services for Single Parent Families |
F.A.C.E.S., a non profit agency in Southern California, was founded in 1988 by three women. These child advocates had a vision to create safe places for children, and to help parents struggling with separation and divorce by providing counseling and other family and educational services. In 2008, it is estimated that over 3000 children and parents will have received services at F.A.C.E.S. centers,through the programs.
The low cost fee for services, based on a sliding scale, depending on family income, and the 90% volunteerism allows F.A.C.E.S. to serve so many children and their parents, caught in the crisis of separation and relocation, readjustment, grief, and lonliness. We bring smiles back to children's faces!
Founded in 1988, F.A.C.E.S. has three family services centers serving children in single parent homes. The sites are teaching clinics, providing excellent internship opportunities for mental health professionals who learn specific skills in working with the court systems and families.
