Students cheer their pie eaters on

The Seniors in the Precision Group, from their Senior Project in
Marketing Class at CSUF, planned and hosted a wonderful event
on campus at Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, November 8 from 12 -2 pm.
Students from all over the campus of 40,000 students watched and ate pie
to call attention to F.A.C.E.S. services in nearby Fullerton, just a few blocks
from the Cal State Campus.
Carolina Estrada, Program Director was on hand to cheer the group on as
hundreds of students came by or stopped to watch the pie eating contest.
Some students donated a part of their lunch money for the agency which is
a non profit corporation, founded in 1988 to provide counseling for children
caught  in the crossfire and educational services to prevent family violence.
"Our services are low cost, so the single parent can afford to come and receive
care and counsel at their time of crisis," explained Mary O'Connor, co-founder
and director of the agency.

Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 4 pm. F.A.C.E.S. is hosting a Thanksgiving feast in honor of our past and
present volunteers. This event took place at the F.A.C.E.S. Fullerton offices, 505 E. Commonwealth Ave.
The event is a project of a Senior Marketing Class from
CSUF Fullerton who provided the feast from donations in the community.
FACES served 1700 families in 2006. These families attended over 28,000 hours of
counseling, classes or monitored visits.
